The Four Foundations of Mindfulness

Summer Meditation Series at Prana Wellness Center
1428 Commercial Street, Astoria, OR
June 19th through August 21st

Monday evenings from 7 to 8:30 pm

You are warmly invited to a summer of exploration and inquiry into how bringing mindfulness to all experience can be of benefit. The Monday Mindfulness group at the Prana Wellness Center will be learning about the Four Foundations of Mindfulness, using meditation and inquiry to renew and deepen our mindfulness meditation practice.

The Four Foundations of Mindfulness are an ancient teaching that is relevant and helpful today. The 4 foundations help us be present with every experience we have, helping us to create a life of awakening. We will venture on a journey of discovery into heart, body and mind, experiencing directly the transformation that is possible through mindfulness practice and inquiry.

We will use practices of inquiry to engage our bodies, hearts, and minds in exploration. We will explore individually and together, learning how practice can benefit our lives and how inner experience can evolve and transform. As we gain the ability to be with whatever arises, we gain a sense of unshakable well-being and happiness.

All are welcomed and invited—whatever level, beginner or experienced practitioners. You may drop in for one session or for all; drop in any time, don’t worry if you are late—just come! Let’s explore and learn together about this wonderful teaching.

Dr. Bernice Moore leads the Monday evening sessions. She has studied and practiced mindfulness and spiritual inquiry for several decades, and teaches mindfulness and MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) locally and at eMindful and Saybrook University.
